How do I create a new page on your wiki?
First change the url to "http://www.cedegawiki.net/New page title", the wiki will then manipulate the url so spaces are turned into underscores, etc. Click on the edit tab and start writing.
If the page you're adding is about a game, you can find extensive info and helpful tips on CedegaWiki:Adding a game.
 What should user pages contain?
You're totally free about the design of your own page. However, it's handy if you include your system specifications in it, so people can look up what kind of system specifications and distribution you are using, when you run a game.
How do I apply sections, lists, images, etc to my page?
Read the Extensive guide on wiki editing. Please don't use tables on the wiki pages for anything other than tabular data, especialy not for fancy layouts!
How do I add images to a wiki article?
After you have logged in, you'll see a toolbox on the navigation panel on the left. Simply click "Upload file" and read the page. It should help you enough to get an image uploaded. Please provide a proper description of what the image represents. Then you can link to it by typing [[File:Filename.ext]].
Additional options you could use are:
Only Name is required. Most images should use "
]]" and should not specify a size. The other details are optional and can be placed in any order.
thumb" (or "
thumbnail"; either can be followed by "
frame" (or "
framed"), or "
frameless". Display the image with specific formatting (see below).
border". Put a small border around the image.
center" or "
none". Determine the horizontal placement of the image on the page. This defaults to "
right" for thumbnails.
top", or "
bottom". Vertically align the image with respect to adjacent text. This defaults to "
px" or "
px" or "Width
px" or "
upright" or "
upright=Factor". Scale the image to be no greater than the given width and/or height, keeping its aspect ratio. With "
upright", scale a thumbnail from its default size by the given factor (default 0.75), rounding the result to the nearest multiple of 10 pixels. Size is disabled when the image is 'framed'.
- Link the image to a different resource, or to nothing. Must not be set for non-public domain images unless attribution is provided in some other fashion.
- Specify the alt text for the image. This is intended for visually impaired readers. See Wikipedia:ALT for how this typically should differ from the caption.
- Specify the image's caption.
Is there a place I can try some edits?
Yes! You can use the Test Page to try out editing. But don't mind if someone other changes it later. That's the way a wiki works.
Any tips about writing in discussion pages?
Yes, use --~~~~ to automatically include your name and a timestap like this:
--Bachsau 15:41, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
If there are multiple discussions going on at the same wiki dicussion page, create a subject name under which all the discussion relevant to that subject will be placed. You can do this by simply typing == Subject ==. A table of content is automaticly added if there are more than 4 subjects. But you can of course force a table of content by putting __TOC__ at the top of the page.
If you answer to a previous message, prepend one or more colons (:) to your text. This will indent your answer to a degree defined by the number of colons you use.
I'm a stats freak, where can I find some stats about this wiki?
