Cedega, the software this wiki is about, is a compatibility layer by Transgaming Technologies, that allows to play windows games on linux. Formely known as WineX, it was renamed on the release of version 4.0 on June 22, 2004.

Cedega is also able to manage multiple versions of its engines by its GUI to counteract regressions.

Point2Play was the GUI front-end for Cedega when it was still controlled through the command line. Through it, one could install and run games without needing to use a command line, and it also allowed for the easy setting of per-game configurations.
